Dive News: Thu 18 Feb 2016

Hey Divers!
Weather through the weekend looks alright for the South Coast, may end up a bit windy here and there! Should stay warm through the weekend, even with the rain. We have had a solid 8 metres of visibility all week with lots of action underwater! Lucky group this week even had about 200 dolphins visit while diving on the F69 wreck !! :) Litte bit of a southerly change coming Sunday afternoon! (We'll see though !!)

Massive congratulations to our newest Open Water diver Anna, and our new Junior Open Water diver Thomas. We had schools of fish, big moki, crayfish, nudibranchs, and Thomas even spotted an Octopus!

Also, big congratulations to those who completed the freediving course  last weekend, and big thanks to James for coming down and sharing his knowledge. We have another course coming up over March 18th, 19th, & 20th for those that missed out on this one!

Have a look in the latest issue of Dive New Zealand and you'll see our very own Paul Cooper's epic photo of a Pygmy Seahorse! Well done Paul on winning the novice category and $75 big ones!

Our diploma boys are almost Divemasters and officially first aid instructors! Once they are back from Northland they are getting stuck into their Instructor Development Course - wish them luck! You could be seeing them around a bit more in the weekends now too!

If this sounds like what you or somebody you know would love to be doing with their lives we have another fulltime Diploma course starting on Feburary 29th! We have been advertising around locally and on Facebook, it would be great if you could pass the message on to anyone who you think would love this course :) If you have any questions or would like some more information, please feel free to stop by or give us a call to arrange a time to chat!

36 weeks fulltime, Monday to Thursday. Become a specialty dive instructor with over 100 logged dives, a tonne of hands on experience and tips on working as a dive instructor.
