Hi Divers

Congratulations to our newly certified rescue divers who managed to rescue Scuba Steve over the weekend. Well done Judy, Martin, Renee, Quazar, Craig and Jay on a job well done.

Also congratulations go to Cameron on completing his Dive Master course, now its onto the next challenge as he gets ready for the instructor course.

It looks like winter is about to finally hit, with cold southerlies and rain predicted for the weekend.

Dave, Paula and twenty lucky customers are escaping the bad weather and are off to Tonga for a whale of a time. Tonga is one of the few countries where you can swim with humpback whales and swimming wih these beautiful creatures is truely amazing.

Humpbacks weigh up to 40 tons and can breach completely out of the water.  They can grow up to 60 feet in length and can eat up to 1.5 tons of food a day. They live up to 50 years of age.

Saturday and Sunday mornings meeting at the shop at 8.30am, likely to be diving in the harbour. Tuesday night dive meeting at the shop at 5.30pm.

Join us for 3 days of diving this Labour weekend. Well priced at just $845 including return transfers from Auckland airport, 4 nights accommodation, all meals, 6 dives in beautiful Northland with tank and weight belt hire. Why not do your advanced open water course while your there for just $280. A $200 deposit secures your spot with the remainder due a month before the trip departure.

Our next fulltime Diploma in Scuba Instruction course starts at the end of the month. If you know someone over 18 years of age keen to start a career in diving, send them our way. The course is 45 weeks of fulltime study, logging over 100 dives and exiting as a highly qualified Padi dive instructor ready to work in the dive industry.

Thanks for being our customer. Happy diving from the team at Dive Wellington Dave, Paula, Chris, Kelly and Alex
