Dive News: Wed 04 May 2016

Hi Divers

It looks like the warm weather is set to continue, the forecast for this weekend is northerly winds so the South Coast should be good for a dive. The water temperature is still around 14 degrees on the South Coast.

Plenty of our staff and divers are heading to Taupo this weekend for Techfest, a full weekend of diving and talking technical diving. Have a chat with Chris if your keen to go next year,

Congratulations to instructor Sue and Dive Master Grant on achieving their advanced nitrox and decompression procedures qualifications. Also to Joy Hewett on completing her open water course and to Ryan Oliver on finishing his advanced open water course.

Please remember to book if you are coming to dive club. Last weekend we had 8 divers booked and 24 turned up, which makes it hard to allow for hire equipment hire.

This weekend our club dives are at the later time of 1.30pm Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Join us on our upcoming crayfish charters in May, suitable for advanced divers:Sunday 15th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd

SUUNTO SPECIAL OFFER For a very limited time and while stock is available Suunto are offering a free transmiter with D Series computers. Thats a saving of over $700.

Our fulltime Diploma in Scuba Diving courses are running well. We have 2 courses in progress with Sam, Jaden, Nick and Uriah about to sit their instructor exams. Bonnie and Carissa are about to start Dive Master course.

The Diploma course runs for 42 weeks Monday to Thursday. It takes students through to Specialty dive instructor and sets them up for a career in scuba diving. They log over 100 dives and gain hands on experience with student divers.

We also help with job placement where possible. The course is eligble for student loans and allowances. Our next intake is in August, if interested contact us for a prospectus.
